Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor/Director for Behavioral Health, the Assistant Clinical Supervisor has responsibility for administrative supervision in CCNS’ outpatient services. Responsibilities also include supervision of staff in the outpatient programs, assuring that program staff carries out their job responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner and maintain availability to staff for consultation during all program hours of operation. The Assistant Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for generating NETSMART reports to monitor clinician productivity and documentation compliance. In addition, to working with management to report on outcomes, identify staff training and development needs. The Assistant Clinical Supervisor will provide administrative supervision to staff, monitor compliance with contracts, agency policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and audit readiness and new initiatives.

  • Ensure that target population has access to service according to contractual requirements and Agency Mission.
  • Develop appropriate administrative supervision coverage policies and procedures to ensure that adequate supervision and management is in effect for all work shifts.
  • Assure that program goals, objectives and the Agency Mission are understood, fostered and supported throughout at the program level.
  • Facilitate program compliance with fire, safety, and health standards as per licensing and or quality assurance requirements and standards.

 Report to Behavioral Health Services Administration and/or Agency Administration issues that may have a negative impact on the reputation of the Agency, client and/or staff welfare or any corporate compliance issue.
 The Administrative Task Supervisor is required to provide direct billable service time to clients. Service time is reduced for supervision, chart review, and other administrative tasks.
 Perform initial interviews, crisis intervention, and on-going therapy with individuals, & children, run groups, work with families, & couples as dictated by the client’s clinical needs.
 Participate in the development of the Corrective Action Plans related to audit and/or Quality Assurance activities – including implementation of the Corrective Action Plan at the program level.
 In coordination with program management assume responsibility for program operations in the absence of the Clinical Manager.QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work from a nationally accredited institution.
  • Valid NYS LMSW required.
  • Clinical experience in a treatment program under Article 31 of the Mental Hygiene Law preferred.
  • Excellent clinical & administrative supervisory skills along with three years of mental health &/or substance abuse experience.
  • Time management, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and intervene in crisis situations.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, lobbying, and advocacy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility & Creativity.
  • Bilingual Spanish or Russian speaking preferred but not required.
