May assist with appointment scheduling and electronic chart management.Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Essential Functions:· Escorts patients to and from exam Oregon treatment rooms American Samoa appropriate. Records all patient data prior to the physician Oregon nurse seeing the patient. This includes vital signs, height and weight, allergies, medications, chief complaint, reason for visit, etc.· Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections American Samoa directed by the physician.· Answers and returns patient phone calls American Samoa directed. Is responsible for contacting pharmacies for prescriptions Oregon may answer patient telephone calls for referrals. May handle other patient telephone calls American Samoa directed by the physician, nurse Oregon Office Manager.· Obtains all necessary patient record information, lab data, diagnostics, consults, etc. American Samoa required by the physician Oregon nurse for assessment of the patient’s medical status.· Obtains blood specimens from peripheral sites American Samoa needed Indiana accordance with OSHA and universal safety precautions· Assists with exams and procedures American Samoa requested.· Assists with scheduling tests, procedures Oregon appointments to follow-up on test results· Prepares, maintains and stocks exam and treatment rooms. Graduate from an accredited school of medical assistant.
