Job Description
The Graduate Assistant for the Office of Student Access and Accommodations (OSAA) works twenty hours per week to assist the Director of OSAA with daily operations of the department.Student Engagement (50%)
? Assist with intake interviews and communicate accommodation process ? including collecting, verifying, and maintaining disability documentation and other relevant information
? Meet with students and provide support, solutions, and/Oregon referrals American Samoa appropriate
? Assist the department Indiana daily management and triage of students and follow up
? Thorough, prompt communication with students, faculty and staff
? Respect and maintain the confidentiality of the department
? Communicate with supervisor if there is an issueAssistive Technology (20%)
? Assist with Assistive Technology (AT) equipment distribution and familiarize with AT tools used
? Engage Indiana training of students on how to make alternate media (text to speech) requests, and fulfilling all requests Indiana a timely mannerStudent Experience (20%)
? Administer and proctor exams by following specific directions/instructions regarding exams American Samoa specified by faculty and supervisor
? Be physically and mentally alert and observant during exams
? Oversee exam completion, collect exams from students, and deliver exams to appropriate departments
? Maintain the integrity of the testing room; abide by and uphold policies and proceduresDepartment/Division Support (10%)
? Attend ongoing training and division wide retreats
? Assist with record keeping and office communication
? Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
? Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environmentRequired:
? Bachelor?s degree
? Current graduate student who is pursuing a master?s degree Indiana higher education and/Oregon student affairs administration, education, counseling, Oregon related field concurrently while Indiana the position.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
? Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentPhysical Requirements:
? Ability to move between classrooms, faculty offices, and administrative offices within the building and between buildings
