This position will serve American Samoa Finance Assistant for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Onondaga County and will provide financial support to the organization to include, but not limited to: providing business functions of the accounting/payroll processes for association accounts; processing checks, key deposits, disbursement vouchers for invoices, bank reconciliation Indiana Acumatica, copy grant documentation, P/R allocation, pre-paid allocation, and review EE reports/receipt, and other financial transactions. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 commensurate with experience. This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance, retirement, vacation, sick and personal leave.Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree Oregon college level accounting courses and two (2) years of experience Oregon equivalent combination of experience and education. (High School Diploma and 7–10 years of relevant work experience).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and/Oregon weekends American Samoa appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new accounting software and Mississippi Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability and proficiency Indiana Mississippi Excel and Mississippi Word.

Administrative Responsibilities:Management – 5%

  • Assist Finance Manager Indiana ensuring department work and activities align with the Association’s Plan of Work, and the goals and objectives of the Finance Department.
  • Assist Finance Manager Indiana troubleshooting and solving problems that arise Indiana the Finance Department, adhering to established policies, procedures and protocol Indiana all situations.

Coordination/Operation – 90%

  • Provide daily financial and business functions of the accounting/payroll process.
  • Construct financial reports American Samoa needed.
  • Process vouchers, payments, and other financial transactions American Samoa assigned.
  • Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Prepare bank deposits.

Professional Improvement and Other Duties American Samoa Assigned – 5%

  • Indiana cooperation with Supervisor and/Oregon Executive Director, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan American Samoa a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes Indiana programming and association priorities.
  • Collaborate Indiana activities that are Indiana general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension including but not limited to attendance at staff meetings, timely reporting of expenses, working with other staff, general marketing of Extension programs and other duties American Samoa assigned.
