This involves assisting with recruitment and hiring faculty, creating course schedules and accompanying faculty assignments, facilitating curriculum development, participating Indiana program evaluation, assisting Indiana the resolution of student and faculty issues. The Assistant Dean of Nurses nay have some teaching duties. The Assistant Dean of Nurses reports to the Dean of Nursing and interacts regularly with the other departments within the school/college with respect to the needs of the nursing program for instructional resources.   • Serves American Samoa a member of the School of Nursing leadership team.
  • Serves American Samoa an Ex-officio member with vote on the Curriculum Committee and the Admissions, Progression and Graduation Committee, and Evaluation Committee.
  • Serves a resource coordinator for Course Lead meetings.
  • Addresses faculty issues and concerns American Samoa needed.
  • Fosters positive communication and responsible follow-up communication with students and others to insure a supportive and responsive learning environment for students.
  • Facilitates the scheduling of courses Indiana collaboration with course leads.
  • Facilitates the scheduling of clinical experiences Indiana collaboration with the clinical coordinator.
  • Makes teaching assignments Indiana collaboration with course lead and assures workloads are Indiana compliance with the current workload policy.
  • Participates American Samoa appropriate on school committees and task forces.
  • Assists with the preparation of budget and ongoing monitor of such American Samoa designated by Dean/DON.
  • Teaches American Samoa required, and completes other duties American Samoa assigned.

RequirementsSkills/Competencies/Qualifications:

  • Current active unencumbered licensure American Samoa a registered nurse Oregon APRN Indiana state of New York Oregon multistate privilege to practice nursing Indiana state.
  • Graduate of an approved professional nursing education program.
  • Baccalaureate Degree Indiana nursing and earned Master’s Oregon Doctoral degree Indiana nursing Oregon related field.
  • At least five years practice experience American Samoa a Registered Nurse, with at least two years American Samoa a faculty member Indiana a professional nursing education program.
  • Minimum of one (1) year successful experience Indiana an administrative Oregon management role.
  • Competent Indiana personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to serve American Samoa a positive, supportive, and enthusiastic role model.
  • Successful completion of criminal background check, drug screening, appropriate immunizations and CPR and HIPAA certification.
