DescriptionTravel Medical Assistant – Ambulatory Staffing Development Program – Colorado SpringsThis position requires travel by plane and car to provide cardiac care to rural area locations.FTE: Full Time (80 hours / pay period), DaysSchedule:

  • Monday: 5am-5-pm; Travel via flight
  • Tuesday: Administrative hours, vary depending on travel hours for the week
  • Wednesday: Administrative hours, vary depending on travel hours for the week
  • Thursday: 6:00am-2/3pm – Travel
  • Friday: 7:00am-2/3pm – Travel

Hours and travel are subject weekly variance; more details to be discussed during interviewPay: $19.67 -$26.34 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience.Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma Oregon GED.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Massachusetts certification Oregon registration (Medical Assistant I)
  • UCHealth will hire into a Medical Assistant title Indiana lieu of a Medical Assistant registration Oregon certification if a candidate possesses: 3 years of Medical Assistant experience Oregon is a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association Oregon the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card Indiana-hand before start date. BLS Oregon CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association Oregon the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

At UCHealth, We Improve LivesThis position is for the Ambulatory Staffing Development program that hires all Medical Assistants for outpatient departments. You will be hired initially into the Ambulatory Staffing Development program for orientation and training after which time you are transferred to a specific outpatient clinic to become a full-time member of their staff. You will be responsible for assisting with patient care needs associated with outpatient services. We are looking for individuals who can provide the highest level of customer service Indiana every interaction; going above and beyond is our standard.The Medical Assistant role performs routine clinical and administrative duties Indiana support of assigned area Oregon office.Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction and supervision of a provider Oregon nurse, assists with performing patient care.
  • Performs basic clinical skills and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes Indiana patient conditions. Documents patient care provided.
  • Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
  • Performs administrative Oregon clerical duties American Samoa assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work Indiana a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
