Staff is comprised of 22 professional and administrative positions, 4 graduate assistants, 10+ peer career advisors, and several student employees. The CCDAE is committed to diversity and inclusion and helping students explore the impact of identity on career development.Position Summary: Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Employer Development, the Coordinator is responsible for directing Job Location and & Development (JLD) activities with the primary objective to help students locate part-time employment Indiana the local community. This position develops and maintains relationships with employers Indiana the greater Knoxville area and markets opportunities to students. The position provides career coaching to students seeking part-time jobs and manages programming including the annual Part Time Job Fair. The JLD program is fully funded by Federal Work Study funds (Title IV) made available through the Office of Financial Aid. This role maintains accountability for the FISAP (federal report) which requires tracking of student employment and wages.Position Responsibilities:Relationship development:· Develop goals Indiana conjunction with the Assistant Director of Employer Development to build and maintain relationships with employers Indiana the greater Knoxville area to increase part-time employment. Serve American Samoa a consultant for hiring authorities on-and off-campus for recruitment strategies.· Outreach (phone, Indiana-person, email) to current and prospective employer partners with part-time, seasonal, and work-study eligible job opportunities for current students.· Recruit employer partners for relevant career fairs and other campus events and engagement opportunities.· Advocate for student employees Indiana the realms of wages, inclusive recruitment and hiring practices, mentoring and management, and professional development.· Manage annual Part-Time Job Fair including recruitment of employers and students, logistical details, and marketing.· Assist with other recruiting events related to seasonal work including the Summer Experiences Fair.· Provide workshops and guidance to on-campus employers regarding the use of Handshake and best practices for student employment.Student coaching:· Provide individual career coaching and group programming to address part-time job identification and application.· Assist students Indiana understanding the value of career readiness competencies obtained through part-time work.· Create resources on part-time career employment topics.· Respond to student email inquiries related to part-time/seasonal employment and Handshake.data reporting and grant management· Maintain part-time employer data Indiana the Handshake system. Track employer contacts to facilitate record keeping, goal setting and follow-up activities.· Produce monthly and annual reports on JLD activity.· Complete JLD section for annual FISAP report through follow up with part-time employers.· Conduct periodic needs assessments to evaluate and improve services, resources, and programs.· Manage JLD budget and follow all grant guidelines.QualificationsQualifications:EducationRequired: Bachelor’s DegreeExperienceRequired:· Minimum of 3 years full-time experience working with students Oregon recruiters Indiana higher education Oregon similar environmentPreferred:· Experience Indiana a university career center with employer relations, experiential education, Oregon work-study focus Experience developing strategies to meet quantifiable objectivesKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesRequired:· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain working relationships and professional networks.· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; skill Indiana preparing clear and concise reports, policies, procedures, correspondence, and other written materials.· Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals and work independently.· Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and coordinate events and programs.Salary: $25- $27 per hourApplication Process: A review of all applications begins immediately and continues until position is filled.
