May be asked to staff at other nearby clinic locations on occasion.Job DescriptionThe Medical Office Assistant (MOA) is responsible for a variety of clinical, clerical and coordination services to support high quality, cost effective patient care Indiana the Advocate/Aurora Clinics at Walgreens. The MOA supports virtual patient care delivery via use of Tytocare technology while on site at the retail clinics. Staff at the following Advocate Walgreens Clinic site:305 W Rollins Road, Round Lake Beach, IllinoisMajor Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and administrative support to remote and/Oregon Indiana-person Advanced Practice Clinicians while on site at Advocate/Aurora Clinics at Walgreens
  • Complete the patient registration process, which includes documenting patient demographics, processing insurance and copays and scheduling patient appointments Indiana the electronic medical record
  • Facilitate waiting room management and patient rooming processes
  • Complete vitals and point of care testing on patients
  • Monitor supply inventory; order clinical and office supplies
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, APCs, Walgreens store management and ACW leadership Indiana support of patient care delivery
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, professional, and organized clinic environment
  • Other duties American Samoa assigned

Licensure, Registration, and/Oregon Certification Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 21 days of start date

Education Required:

  • High school Diploma Oregon GED

Experience Required:

  • Preferred 1-2 years experience Indiana clinical and/Oregon customer service setting

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, staff and clinicians.
  • Proficient computer skills including typing, navigation within a windows operating system, use of electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Travel between sites of care- may be requested to work at nearby Advocate/Aurora Clinic at Walgreens sites to fulfill business needs

  • The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such American Samoa lifting supplies and moving equipment.
  • Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine-hand manipulation skills.
