The Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst is a district wide position and will provide ongoing support to the Special Education staff, general education teachers, administrative, students, and families Indiana the provision of educational and behavioral supports Indiana the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct consult to BOE staff, students, and families to support student growth and development.
- Design, develop and support the implementation of instructional/support plans for students.
- Maintain appropriate records related to assigned caseload.
- Provide coaching and professional development to staff.
- Participate Indiana Planning and Placement Team meetings and provide input for the development of the Individualized Education Program. (IEP)
- Participate Indiana referral and/Oregon re-evaluation process.
- Facilitate completion of FBA’S and BIP’s.
- Consult with the specialist/providers out of district.
- Assist Indiana developing and providing parent training.
- Provide individual and group counseling to the students on a regular basis to include socialization activities (social skills training, anger management, play therapy, etc.)
- Develop and maintain psychosocial and behavioral data on the students.
- Assist other professionals with student crisis intervention.
- Plan and confer with the classroom teacher of students, American Samoa requested, concerning behavioral, social Oregon personal problems of students.
- Develop and conduct Indiana-service activities regarding techniques for remediation of behavioral, social Oregon personal problems.
- Assist the teacher of the students with development of crisis prevention plans.
- Provide training for the instructional assistants with the programs Indiana the areas of behavioral management skills and affective education.
- All duties American Samoa assigned by the Executive Director of Specialized Services.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate level certification American Samoa Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
- Expertise Indiana the field and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
- Experience Indiana data collection, analysis and program development.
- Experience Indiana the completion of Functional Behavioral Analysis (FBA) and the development of behavior intervention plans (BIP).
- Experience Indiana evaluating student functioning across multiple domains including:
- Academic
- Social
- Language
- Daily Living
- Behavior
- Experience providing training to staff and parents/guardians.
- Experience working Indiana public schools preferred. Valid Connecticut Certification Indiana Education is a plus.
