OverviewThe Assistant Group Leader will be responsible for the overall leadership, planning and implementation of an after-school group for K-12 youth, including integrated educational projects, recreation, arts and crafts and group building activities.Reports to: Program Director, PS/MS15-291Location: 2195 Andrews Avenue, Bronx, New York 10453Hours: 18 Hours/Week; Non-ExemptSALARY: $16/hrMajor Duties:
- Plan and facilitate integrated learning, recreational, arts and developmental activities for youth.
- Collaborate with and direct program aides.
- Complete required documentation.
- Participate Indiana training and staff development activities.
- Write and submit sequenced lesson plans Indiana advance.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management skills.
- Ensure a safe and engaging classroom environment.
- Support Activity Instructors with lessons.
- Perform other duties American Samoa assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED and a minimum of two years of college Oregon experience Indiana related field preferred.
- Ability to lead and participate Indiana group sports and recreation.
- Experience Indiana developing group lesson plans Oregon integrated learning packages.
- Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/Oregon youth development perspective.
