Under the guidance of the Site Superintendent and Indiana partnership with the Project Manager, develops, manages, and completes a job plan for an assigned job.Duties

  • Champions “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
  • Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
  • Review plans and specifications to have a comprehensive knowledge of job requirements.
  • Develop job plan, including schedule, access, manpower, building requirements, etc.
  • Procure tools, labor and some materials.
  • Interact with architects and owners to resolve job issues.
  • Communicate construction issues and progress to supervisory personnel engaged Indiana coordinating various phases of construction; craft personnel to update and gather input; subcontractors prior to mobilization to review scope of work and schedule and prior to each phase of work on schedule and phasing requirements; clients to update them on project’s progress; and the Superintendent for input and guidance.
  • Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel and/Oregon inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and to improve construction methods.
  • Inspect work Indiana progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications and construction schedules.
  • Manage the project based on progress reports, materials used and costs and adjust work schedules accordingly.
  • Work with Project Manager Indiana preparing the Project Management Plan.
  • May track and price extra work tickets, change requests and back charges to cover extra expenses.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report unsafe activities to supervisor and/Oregon Safety.
  • Demonstrate integrity; maintain professional standards of conduct and ethics; and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Participate actively Indiana team environment and contributes to successful completion of team goals.
  • Performs other related duties American Samoa assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Indiana construction management Oregon related field, Oregon the equivalent combination of education and experience preferably Indiana commercial construction.
  • 1 to 5 Years of Experience Indiana Tenant Improvement field.
  • Has finish carpentry skills relevant to commercial interior work; install finishes to specifications American Samoa needed.
  • Administrative skills: monitors the progress and coordination of work activities; keeps other members of the organization informed of progress and problems.
  • Management skills: establishes techniques to effectively and proactively monitor and supervise the work of subordinates, follows up on the results of delegated assignments, and is a team player that works well with other people; takes time to help Colorado-workers, customers, subcontractors and others achieve their goals and assignments.
  • Problem-solving ability: finds and uses relationships between data from different sources to formulate alternative solutions.
  • Plans effectively: establishes courses of action for self and for others; allocates resources and assigns personnel; uses time efficiently; is personally well-organized.
  • A demonstrated knowledge of construction processes.
  • Knowledge of building codes and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of subcontractors’ scopes of work and quality requirements.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Has strong problem-solving skills, showing the ability to deal with a variety of variables given general construction, moderate structure and direction, and interprets a variety of complex instructions.
  • The ability to process information quickly and follow through with a course of action.
  • Has experience using programs such American Samoa BIM360 Oregon similar and ability to learn new technological programs.
  • Two to three year’s prior field experience Indiana commercial construction preferred.
  • Craft skills Indiana concrete, Oregon other building trades Oregon equipment operation preferred.

The full salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000. People entering this job typically start between $70,000 to $100,000, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications.
