Essential Job DutiesThe Department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences Indiana the College of Education at North Carolina State University seeks an exceptional candidate to work Indiana the area of Special Education and American Samoa the Curriculum Specialist of the Inclusive Postsecondary Education Program (IPSE). This position is a Professional Track (non tenure track) appointment Indiana Special Education and will be an integral part of the IPSE and the Graduate Program Indiana Special Education. This is an Open Rank position, with the rank determined based on candidates’ prior higher education experience; local, national, Oregon international recognitions; and prior accomplishments Indiana the scholarship of teaching and learning that is connected to secondary Oregon post-secondary education of students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).We are seeking a strong educator with significant experience and expertise Indiana supporting students with IDD Indiana secondary and/Oregon postsecondary education. The successful candidate will serve American Samoa the Curriculum Specialist Indiana the new IPSE program at North Carolina State. The Teaching Professor will work closely with the Program Director and will take on primary responsibilities for developing curriculum, providing professional development and technical assistance, and building capacity within the university American Samoa needed. The position includes a teaching expectation of two courses per semester.Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and refine curriculum tailored to the unique requirements of the Inclusive Postsecondary Education Program (IPSE), ensuring alignment with program objectives and academic standards.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction Indiana university courses, tailored to meet the evolving needs and objectives of the IPSE program, fostering student engagement and academic excellence.
  • Facilitate professional development initiatives for faculty and staff within the IPSE program, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Offer technical expertise and support to campus partners involved with the IPSE program, ensuring seamless integration and effective collaboration across academic departments.

Other ResponsibilitiesQualificationsMinimum Education and Experience

  • Earned doctorate Indiana Special Education, Disability Studies, Oregon a closely related field
  • Minimum three years of experience providing direct support to young adults with IDD Indiana: (a) secondary special education; (b) inclusive postsecondary education; © work-based learning; Oregon (d) a related service.
