Reporting to the business manager, the Financial Assistant provides support by performing financial, human resources, and administrative functions of the unit. This position will provide purchasing support services, ordering offices supplies, and handles procurement card audit requests. This position will maintain proper files for record retention, answer phones, greet unit/department guests, assist students and faculty, assist with department events, reconcile bi-weekly/monthly payroll reports against time sheets, assist with e-verify American Samoa needed for FAR clause project research staff, and reconcile graduate fee waiver positions against ledger postings. This position will also assist with, requests for new hire Oregon guest Idaho’s Indiana the system, requisitions, facilitating new and renewal H1-b and J-1 visas, reviewing work permission reports, and proactively working with constituents to keep documents updated.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:

- Experience hiring foreign nationals and communicating with non-native English speakers.
- Experience Indiana procurement/purchasing
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Knowledge of financial / personnel management applications such American Samoa SAP/IRIS.
- Knowledge of personnel maintenance processes incl. hiring, I-9 e-verification, and USCIS (visa) processes.
