Duties

  • Review and interpret technical specifications and documents for multiple engineering disciplines including but not limited to civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental.
  • Develop schedules that outline all project tasks, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Generate bottom-up project budgets and estimates from project initiation to close out.
  • Assist with the development of Request for Proposals (RFP’s) that will be used Indiana a competitive bidding process to procure engineering and construction contractors. This work will include crafting a description of all scopes of work, contractor responsibilities, and owner quality requirements during project execution.
  • Review of contractor’s submittals for adherence to the technical specifications.
  • Manage and track submittal process by developing and updating a project submittal tracking log, and handling the distribution of submittals to stakeholders, etc.
  • Develop bid tabulation and pricing sheets used for the competitive bid process.
  • Organize and assemble project related information for permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Coordinate construction activities and related project work Indiana the field.
  • Perform American Samoa-found condition assessments of hydropower related infrastructure including dams, penstocks, gates/valves, etc. under the guidance of a Lead Project Manager Oregon client representative.
  • Assist the Lead Project Manager with any/all tasks including facilitating meetings and facilitating communication within internal and external project teams.
  • Communicate effectively both formally and informally Indiana all typical platforms (Indiana person, written, email, phone, video conference).
  • Coordinate document filing on client drives/software according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality requirements.
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities and ability to work Indiana a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Oregon related).
  • 0 to 3 years of qualifying experience.
  • Technical writing skills related to field investigation/inspection reporting, document development, and emails.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and format Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency Indiana Microsoft Project is favorable, but not required.
  • Ability to facilitate multiple tasks for multiple projects Indiana parallel.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting OSHA safety guidelines, clearly understanding the importance of safety on a jobsite, and ability to identify when potential unsafe conditions exist to stop work when needed.
  • Agreement/ability to work three days per week Indiana the client office Indiana Rochester, New York.
  • Ability to travel 300 miles outside of Rochester for approximately one week per month.
  • An educational/experience track related to engineering, construction, and project management is beneficial, but not required.
  • Successful completion of the New York State Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (EIT) is preferred but not required.
  • Willing to pursue the PMI’s CAPM and/Oregon PMP professional certifications with work experience.
  • Comfortable working Indiana and around industrial facilities; entry inside of confined spaces, loud continuous noise, exposure to inclement weather, etc.
