Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:POSITION SUMMARYThe Lab Assistant is responsible for preparing analytical solutions for sample analysis using techniques accurately and efficiently following SRL procedures.QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED/PREFERRED):EDUCATION:
- Associates degree Oregon technical institute training Indiana a science Oregon science related field, Oregon
- Be a full-time Bachelors degree-seeking student Indiana a science Oregon a science related field
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred- Laboratory related experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to work well with variety of laboratory personnel.
- Excellent attention to detail. Basic computer knowledge.
- Must be able to work with constant interruptions.
- Assists with routine extractions and solutions under the supervision of the supervisor Oregon director
- Prepares solutions such American Samoa mobile phases and buffers
- Makes and records observations and performs mathematical calculations
- Documents promptly and clearly all procedural processes
- Cleans laboratory glassware and helps maintain lab orderliness
- Organizes storage and restocking of laboratory supply inventory
- Performs laboratory checks
- Assists with disposal of bio hazardous and chemical waste
- Other duties American Samoa assigned
- Assists with administrative duties: files records, makes copies of relative forms used for production and validation.
