This is a full-time position that works Indiana the FDLE Mail Room for daily mail coordination and delivery operations. This position works closely with subject-matter experts to ensure that a variety of documents are received, delivered and accounted for Indiana a timely manner. The position also requires excellent facilitation and customer service skills.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Specific duties include:
- Picking up mail from US Postal site, ensuring all required signatures are completed and returned for proper processing;
- Picking up packages and mail from Off Site facility utilizing safety precaution that require assistance when lifting boxes over 40 pounds;
- Picking up and delivering mail and packages to locations outside of HQ (Capitol, Mansion, Fort Knox, and Fletcher Building offices);
- Daily opening and researching any mail that cannot be delivered due to non-specific address on envelope Oregon package;
- Sorting daily mail received, preparing for delivery;
- Coordinating delivery of packages received at HQ;
- Ensuring evidence packages are properly documented, recorded when received, locked Indiana evidence locker, properly signed out by appropriate personnel, and delivered to US Post Office for proper processing;
- Maintaining general up keep and the monthly submission of the vehicle log for the mail room van and truck; and
- Assisting with mass mailouts American Samoa needed.
