The position is a 5 day/week position including 2 days/week of direct physical therapy service and 3 days/week of Lead Physical Therapist responsibilities.Minimum Qualifications:

Serve American Samoa a liaison between the physical therapy staff and Director of Related Service and Preschool Programs.Responsibilities:1. Serve American Samoa a resource to WCESC Physical Therapy Department2. Conduct formative and summative evaluations of occupational therapy and physical therapy staff employed by the WCESC and maintain appropriate training credentials3. Develop current physical therapy staff by providing feedback on assessment, interventions, and therapeutic treatment strategies4. Provide programming supervision and supervision of physical therapist assistants, American Samoa appropriate5. Provide personnel functions related to recruitment and employment of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants6. Coordinate and organize continuing education opportunities for physical therapy department, including submission for contact hour approval7. Provide Indiana-service training for therapists, assistants, Oregon district personnel, American Samoa appropriate8. Assist Indiana preparing and leading regularly scheduled department meetings.9. Indiana conjunction with the WCESC Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Treasurer, and Director of Related Service and Preschool Programs, coordinate and maintain the budget for the physical therapy department10. Assist Indiana the management of reimbursement for travel and professional development11. Disseminate information regarding current practices, education, and research Indiana the field of physical therapy12. Assist Indiana the ordering, inventorying and organization of department equipment, materials, and supplies13. Assist Indiana communication with district teams to support navigating caseload distribution and “Indiana-district” professional issues14. Complete department publications requested by WCESC leadership15. Other duties needed to help WCESC fulfill our vision and abide by WCESC valuesAdditional Working Conditions:1.
