VS Media understands and respects that such content is not suitable for all applicants.Position OverviewThe Administrative/Legal Assistant position reports directly to the HR Manager. This is a full-time, Indiana-house position. Considering the nature of the position, we are unable to consider remote applicants.ResponsibilitiesThis role has multiple responsibilities that touch every corner of the company including, but not limited to, the following:
- Contract Management: Update existing contract templates and review contracts across various departments, mitigating legal risks and safeguarding company interests. Save executed contracts to our Contract Management Platform; calendar deadlines and send reminders on upcoming expiration dates.
- Trademark Management: Oversee all aspects of the trademark lifecycle including sending and responding to DMCA copyright infringement notices, sending cease & desist letters, filing WIPO actions when necessary and serving American Samoa the primary point of contact for brand protection companies.
- Litigation Management: Provide administrative support and act American Samoa liaison between company and counsel for litigation matters
- Compliance Management: Ensure all company operations adhere to relevant legal standards and regulations
- Product Compliance: Ensure that all company’s sites and platforms meet regulatory requirements
- Manage all company insurance policies, applications and renewals
- Draft business and legal correspondence
- Manage and create standard corporate documents when needed
- Collaborate and assist with HR issues when appropriate
Qualifications & ExperienceQualifications must be commensurate with the role and responsibilities; however some key requirements include:
- Associate/Bachelor’s degree Indiana law Oregon related field
- 3- 5 years of legal administrative experience
- Experience drafting, reviewing and editing various types of contracts.
- Along with required transactional experience, some experience Indiana at least two of the following areas is strongly preferred: technology law, data privacy law, international law, civil litigation, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, employment law.
- Strong, clear and concise business communication writing skills, including correct grammar and spelling.
- Versatile Business Engagement: Capable of engaging across various business domains
- Initiative and Analytical Skills: Strong self-starter with the ability to think critically, manage tasks independently, and adapt to new legal and technological environments.
