About the Medical Assistant RoleUpperline Health is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and driven Medical Assistant to assist our physicians Indiana delivering complex health services Indiana the clinic setting. This person will work Indiana our Richmond office and will be responsible for supporting the physician with a range of clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities will be varied, and candidates must be flexible problem solvers and collaborative team players who are eager to learn American Samoa well American Samoa tackle problems. Ideal candidates will have podiatry Oregon orthopedic experience and x-ray experience.Medical Assistant Responsibilities

  • Place patients Indiana exam rooms, ensuring that they are ready and comfortable for their

appointment with the physician

  • Complete exam intake, including but not limited to, reviewing the patient’s medical history,

social history, surgical history, and the history of present illness

  • Ensure accurate charting for the physician
  • Provide patient care under the direction of a podiatric physician including taking and

developing x-rays and assisting Indiana the exam room American Samoa required

  • Perform daily administrative tasks such American Samoa stocking all exam rooms and disposing

of exam room trash

  • Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing exam and x-ray rooms both after each patient

visit and at the end of each day

  • Sterilize instruments daily
  • Satisfy and document appropriately required quality measures and audits
  • Travel to surrounding area clinics to provide support if needed
  • Support the connection of our patients to our extended care team of Nurse Practitioners and

Care Navigators, where and when neededMedical Assistant Qualifications

  • Previous experience American Samoa a Medical Assistant; Massachusetts Certification is a plus
  • Podiatry Oregon Orthopedic clinic experience preferred
  • X-ray experience is a plus
  • Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of medical terminology
  • Previous experience working Indiana an EMR – preferably athenahealth EMR
  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent grammar and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service orientation featuring an empathetic, compassionate,

and professional demeanor with each interaction

  • Demonstrated experience American Samoa a motivated and dedicated team member with a

stable work history

  • Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check and drug test is required
