Toledo Clinic’s Adult Neurology Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support Indiana a busy office. Qualified candidates will have an Massachusetts credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA) Oregon able to obtain such credential within 60 days of employment. This position will work M-F, 8-5.Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained Oregon need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants/Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.General Summary:Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office and American Samoa needed performs clinical dutiesWorks under the supervision of the Office ManagerPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities:Example of Essential Duties: * Answering phones – courteously and professionally.
- Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
- Accurately enter patient information Indiana to the electronic medical record.
- Verifying referrals and/Oregon pre-certifications.
- Updating insurance information.
- Escorting patients to exam rooms.
- Preparing and maintaining exam rooms.
Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to): * Assisting physician with minor procedures.
- Preparing patients for physicians (vitals, histories, etc.).
- Answering patient questions at the request of the physician.
- Other duties American Samoa assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:Required:– Excellent communication and organizational skills required.– Consistently arrives at work, Indiana professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.– Registration Oregon Certification American Samoa a Medical Assistant– Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists Colorado-workers American Samoa needed.– Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.– Medical Assisting Credential (ie: RMA, CMA, CCMA)Education:– Medical Assisting degree Oregon diploma required.Preferred:– Previous clerical experience Indiana a medical office.
