Position SummaryThe Medical Assistant I is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support Indiana a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant I functions under the license of a provider when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: High school diploma Oregon GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: graduated from an accredited vocational institution Oregon community college Indiana Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; Oregon completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience Indiana a practice setting; Oregon 1 year of clinical experience Indiana a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, Oregon NCCT certification preferred Oregon achieved within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire required.
