- Receive and sort and disperse lab specimens
- Cytology processing, gyn and non-gyn specimens
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis including send out and return of material
- Scan and/Oregon data entry of specimen and patient information
- Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
- Disposal of lab reagents
- Inventory assistance
- Troubleshoot specimen related issues
- Replenish test bench supplies American Samoa needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Complete record logs and other administrative duties American Samoa requested
- Pulling tissue blocks for technical team orders
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent
- Previous medical/lab Oregon production experience is preferred
- Comfortability with handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work Indiana a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to sit and/Oregon stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs
- Must pass a standardized color blindness test
