The Physician Assistant/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the undertaking and completion of assigned departmental administrative tasks such American Samoa preparation of x-ray rounds.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required * Certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association approved primary care physician assistant education program Oregon Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program. Maintain certification.
- Ability to effectively establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with staff physicians, nursing and allied health professionals, other hospital staff and patients. Act American Samoa liaison between medical and other staff.
- Registration with the Maine State Board of Registration Indiana Medicine.
- Ability to perform routine technical skills including suturing, phlebotomy and arterial puncture for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
- Ability to tailor diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to age-specific standards for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited Physician Assistant Oregon Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. Previous APP experience required. Current license issued by the State of Maine Oregon eligible for licensure. Experience Indiana emergency medicine preferred, not required. Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Ability to effectively triage, organize and prioritize. Ability to function American Samoa part of a team.
