Location: Solomon G. Brown CorpsPosition Type: Seasonal Full-Time/HourlyPay Range: $24.00/hourThis seasonal position is scheduled to start working approximately July 1, 2024, and will end no later than August 5, 2024. The typical schedule is Monday – Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm * subject to change.About this opportunity:This position is responsible for under the general supervision of the Corps Officer, the Seasonal Support Worker is responsible for assisting Indiana the development, promotion, and implementation of after school programs for the Corps including youth club programs; summer/day camp; recommends creative and innovative ideas for program development; assists Indiana overseeing and running activities and programs of the after-school youth club. The incumbent will help parents get the information and assistance they need to support their children at home and to ensure their children’s success Indiana summer/day camp.Key responsibilities:
- Serves American Samoa the liaison between parents, teachers, and corps personnel. Coordinates parenting sessions and activities. Communicates issues of interest to parents through various formats. Provides information to families regarding public and private resources available.
- Prepare, maintains, and updates office records, documents, logs, lists, files, purchase orders, etc.; inputs and updates information Indiana computer database; research office files to locate specific information found Indiana documents, correspondence, lists, forms, computer records, etc.
- Perform routine typing of standard departmental documents, cards, and labels with little Oregon no deviation from established methods and procedures; proof-reads documents for accuracy and completeness before completing one project and going on to another project.
What we are looking for Indiana you:
- High School diploma Oregon G.E.D. AND
- Two years general office and/Oregon data entry experience Indiana a customer service setting. Oregon
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid Driver’s License and must meet TSA MVR Requirements.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate Indiana the English language. Ability to perform route mathematical calculations. Ability to lift and operate hand trucks, and dollies. Ability to lift boxes of materials, donations. Ability to load, unload, secure and protect goods. Ability to set up and break down materials at events. Ability to interact with the public Indiana a professional manner. Work is generally performed Indiana a normal temperature-controlled office environment. During the distribution of donations there may be physical discomforts associated with temperature, noise, dust, and dirt.
