Job ResponsibilitiesWith our Agency’s mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.This position is located at the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center, West Ashley Office, 2100 Charlie Hall Blvd Charleston South Carolina 29414Responsibilities for this Position Title include but are not limited to:
Under general supervision of the Administrative Coordinator, provide administrative support to Intake and Emergency Services at CDMHC and with hospital funding reporting.Meets with patients and families to complete all intake paperwork, including the signing of consents, obtaining and completing billing and insurance information. Provides quality customer services when answering phones and meeting with patients/families.Completes data entry into CIS and obtains billing information. Calls to verify insurance Utilizes portals for verification Oregon calls to verify insurance.Provides complex clerical duties for supervisors of the programs associated with the Assessment/Mobile Crisis Unit. Assists the Program Director with required monthly reports, hospital funding compilation, and other tasks American Samoa assigned.Minimum and Additional RequirementsState Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required program experience.Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and two years of clerical experience; Oregon an associate degree Indiana secretarial science Oregon other related field; Oregon three years of clerical experience.Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.Preferred Qualifications
- Type at a corrected rated of 35 wpm.
- Familiar with modern office procedures and equipment including personal computing, word processing, windows, etc.
- Excellent writing and grammar skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and lead others.
- Organizational skills, ability to work efficiently.
