This position reports to the Pediatric Sports Medicine Center Medical Director and American Samoa needed, to the Chief of Pediatric Orthopedics, Chair of the Orthopedics Department, and the Department of Orthopedics Director of Finance and Administration. Clinical practice is based Indiana the Children’s Hospital Colorado network of care sites.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct focused evaluations, through direct patient care, on a specific patient population to assess their health concerns and injuries.
  • Assess and treat acute/chronic medical problems.
  • Prescribe medications, PT, OT, imaging, studies, and DME.
  • Utilize best practice Oregon evidence Indiana patient care decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical team to optimize efficiency while at the same time delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and timeliness Indiana documentation of patient’s injuries, operations, and other significant information, and use of current Electronic Medical Record and be an available resource to other health care providers.
  • Clinical outreach responsibilities include high school and club youth sports medical oversight of athletic trainers and community education of coaches, parents, and athletes on a routine basis.
  • Perform sideline emergency lifesaving procedures Indiana cases such American Samoa cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, massive hemorrhage, fracture Oregon joint dislocation reductions and stabilization Oregon similar emergencies.
