Applications may be rejected if incomplete.*Minimum QualificationsThe Assistant to the Dean will report to the Dean of the College of Education & Human Development with assignments to support all the departments within the college. Assignments may include:

  • Assisting Department Chairs, Program Directors, and faculty with student enrollment, coordinating student interviews, and other student related duties
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, securing office space, and populating offices with necessary equipment and office supplies American Samoa needed
  • Be the point of contact for LSUS Safety Office, Department of Purchasing, and Facilities Servies, Campus Police, Auxiliary Services, Informational Services, and other departments, agencies, and customers
  • Assist with interviewing of faculty and staff applicants, arranging on-campus visits, and assisting with required paperwork
  • Assist with organizing and planning student, staff, and faculty campus events
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Assist with faculty, staff, and Dean’s Office travel needs
  • Distribute College mail to departments
  • Attend CEHD Leadership Team meeting and maintain minutes of meetings
  • Assist the Dean with the quarterly CEHD Newsletter
  • Oversee and manage the CEHD Peer Review Process
  • Assist with the development of services of the Human Performance Laboratory
  • Work with media on CEHD events, VIPs, and related events
  • Complete assignments American Samoa directed by the Dean and Associate Dean
  • Assist faculty, Department Chairs, Programs Directors, and Graduate Coordinators with duties American Samoa needed.
  • Possess skills with Microsoft Office, UNIX, and other software programs Indiana the college
  • Possess solid writing skills, appropriate communication skills, and the ability to handle a diverse work culture.
  • Have ability to adapt to change, handle ever changing demands, and support the college’s growth
  • Be punctual on office hours
  • Be able to prioritize and meet deadlines of assignments

Qualifications
Bachelor’s level degree-minimal requirement
Master degree preferred
