If you want to work for an agency dedicated to supporting our state’s global workforce, apply today!DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis Legal Assistant 1 shares responsibility for providing administrative and legal clerical support to the deputy chief counsel, assistant counsels, and legal office administrators within the Office of Chief Counsel’s Unemployment Division. Work includes but is not limited to:
- Typing, formatting, and proofreading of legal documents including briefs, motions, decisions, correspondence, and memoranda prepared by division attorneys and support staff
- Compiling, organizing, and preparing court records for certification and filing to the courts
- Recording information, updating and maintaining logs and case files, and purging closed cases
- Performing other clerical support duties, such American Samoa handling mail, answering the telephone, scanning files, faxing, using a copy machine, maintaining a calendar, and managing office equipment.

- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week. Indiana order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office Indiana Harrisburg.
