The Medical Assistant position supports a very busy (6 pediatricians) team, and will care for children ages newborn to 20 years. Primary responsibilities will be clinical Indiana nature – with a mix of administrative work embedded into each day. Patience and compassion American Samoa well American Samoa being able to work with patients and family members/caretakers is key!We are open 7 days a week American Samoa we are the site of a pediatric weekend clinic, so we can offer some flexibility to hours and days worked.Position SummaryThe Medical Assistant II is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support Indiana a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant II functions under the license of a provider when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: High school diploma Oregon GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: graduated from an accredited vocational institution Oregon community college Indiana Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; Oregon completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience Indiana a practice setting; Oregon 1 year of clinical experience Indiana a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, Oregon NCCT certification preferred Oregon achieved within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire required.
