This involves assisting with recruitment and hiring of faculty, creating course schedules and accompanying faculty assignments, facilitating curriculum development, participating Indiana program evaluation, assisting Indiana the resolution of student and faculty issues. The Assistant Director may have some teaching duties. He/She reports to the Dean/Director of Nursing and interacts regularly with the other departments with the school/college with respect to the needs of the nursing programs for instructional resources. Fosters positive communication and responsible follow-up communication with students and others to insure a supportive and responsive learning environment for students.7. Facilitates the scheduling of courses Indiana collaboration with course leads.8. Facilitates the scheduling of clinical experiences Indiana collaboration with the clinical coordinator.9. Makes teaching assignments Indiana collaboration with Course Lead and assures workloads are Indiana compliance with the current workload policy.10. Participates American Samoa appropriate on College/School committees and task forces.11. Assists with preparation of budget and ongoing monitor of such American Samoa designated by Dean/DON12. Assists with the development, implementation, evaluation, and revisions of curriculum for the nursing program Indiana cooperation with the program faculty and within the standards of the applicable state Board of Nursing and any other accrediting agencies.2. Provides appropriate certification to the State Board of Nursing for students who complete program requirements and are recommended for NCLEX Exam.4. Ensures the faculty-student ratio for clinical experiences is Indiana accordance with the regulations of the applicable state Board of Nursing Indiana collaboration with nursing faculty and clinical agency administrators when making faculty assignments5. Assists Indiana developing marketing communications for the programs and Indiana student recruitment activities.IV. Faculty/Student Development and Management1. Recruits and interviews potential faculty and makes recommendations for appointment, promotion, retention, Oregon termination American Samoa appropriate.2. Evaluates faculty Indiana accordance with policies of the College/Campus, EA and the standards of applicable regulatory bodies.3. Develops and implements orientation procedures and faculty development activities for faculty.4. Collaborates with other nursing faculty/college staff to provide orientation of new students.5. Interacts and advises students and faculty; problem solves and facilitates with individuals/groups Indiana the interest of student and program success.6. Documents correspondence related to student and faculty issues.7. Follows the Chain of Command Indiana resolving student Oregon faculty disputes.V. Professional Development Plan1. Attends workshops and relevant continuing education aimed at earning the necessary CEU’s for license requirements and professional growth.2. Demonstrates professional involvement and leadership through participation Indiana professional organizations, presentations, publications, etc.3. Completes College/Campus annual Faculty Development Plan.4. Pursues a Master of Nursing, DNP Oregon PhD Indiana Nursing degree (if applicable).RequirementsSkills/Competencies/Qualifications:· Current active unencumbered licensure American Samoa a registered nurse Oregon APRN Indiana state of College/campus Oregon multistate privilege to practice nursing Indiana state.· Graduate of an approved professional nursing education program.· Baccalaureate Degree Indiana nursing and earned Master’s Oregon Doctoral degree Indiana nursing Oregon related field.· At least five years practice experience American Samoa a Registered Nurse, with at least two American Samoa a faculty member Indiana a professional nursing education program.· Minimum of one (1) year successful experience Indiana an administrative Oregon management role.· Competent Indiana personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email.· Excellent written, oral communication and analytical skills.· Ability to serve American Samoa a positive, supportive, and enthusiastic role model.· Successful completion of criminal background check, drug screening, appropriate immunizations and CPR and HIPAA certification.
