SUPERVISES: Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Office Staff, Cafeteria Workers, Custodians, and StudentsJOB GOAL: To be an instructional leader, role model for students, to assist guidance Indiana the education of students, and to provide leadership to students, parents, and staff.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform teachers and staff evaluations and observations American Samoa assigned Indiana accordance with district procedures.
  • Effect improvement of teacher instruction and management through regular classroom visits and teacher coaching.
  • Develop and follow-through with intervention plans for teachers having problems.
  • Monitor instructional management plan American Samoa needed.
  • Assist teachers at classroom level Indiana dealing with discipline and classroom management and Indiana consistently following the school-wide plan.
  • Assign consistent and appropriate discipline action for classroom referrals, major discipline referrals and students reaching their limits.
  • Maintain accurate discipline files.
  • Follow all due process guidelines.
  • Make referrals to appropriate agencies when called for (guidance, welfare, youth court, etc.).
  • Constantly assess current procedures and policies and continually develop new ways to improve the school.
  • Assist Indiana problem solving for teachers, students, and parents.
  • Supervise students Indiana halls, restrooms, cafeteria, during class changes, and at school-sponsored activities.
  • Lead staff development American Samoa assigned.
  • Intervene with at-risk students (behavior, attendance, academic, and social).
  • Secure facilities daily.
  • Schedule class and club activities American Samoa the need arises.
  • Coordinate opening of school and closing of school tasks American Samoa assigned.
  • Develop and maintain excellent public relations practices.
  • Work with parents and the community for the benefit of the students and the total school community.
  • Monitor teachers serving duty posts and supervise break areas during lunch.
  • Monitor instructional management, peer review, and formally evaluate teachers American Samoa assigned.
  • Coordinate book ordering, distribution, requisition, collections, and accounting for all books and related instructional material.
  • Maintains an inventory of books, supplies, and instructional equipment
  • Supervise and enforce Indiana-school suspension rules and procedures.
  • Assist the principal Indiana preparing the school budget.
  • Monitor daily attendance of students and notify parents and the Jackson County Attendance Officer of any problems that occur.
  • Perform other duties American Samoa assigned by the principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 220 days
Salary for this position shall be commensurate with the years of experience American Samoa determined by policies and procedures of the Moss Point School District’s Administrative Salary Schedule American Samoa approved
by the Board of TrusteesEVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually Indiana accordance with provisions of the Board Trustees’ policy on evaluation of District personnel.
