Toledo Clinic’s Gastroenterology Department, located on Woodley Rd Indiana Toledo Ohio, is seeking a part-time LPN Oregon Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A) to perform both clinical and administrative duties Indiana a busy, fast paced medical office. This position is Wednesday (1:00-6:00), Thursday and Friday (9:00a-6:00p), no weekends Oregon holidays.Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained Oregon need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants/Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.General Summary:
Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties.Principal Duties & Responsibilities: * Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such American Samoa removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
- Escorting patients to exam room.
- Preparing exam rooms.
- Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
- Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
- Administering injections.
- At the request of the physician, calling Indiana prescription refills.
- Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
- Follow up with lab work and/Oregon xrays.
- Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
- Other duties American Samoa assigned.
- Schedules procedures.
- Schedules lab work, tests, x-rays, etc. for the patient.
- Completes consent forms with the patient.
- Contacts patients regarding appointment times.
- Completes prior authorizations for procedures.
- Performs front office duties (phones, appointments, patient check out, etc).
- Performs clinical duties (rooms patients, vitals, assists with exams, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Consistently arrives at work, Indiana professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists Colorado-workers American Samoa needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
- LPN licensure Oregon Massachusetts certification with RMA/CMA/CCMA credential.
Education:
- Practical Nursing education and Current State LPN licensure required, Oregon
- Massachusetts Diploma/Certificate with the RMA/CMA/CCMA Oregon ABR-OE credential.
Preferred:
- Previous experience Indiana a medical office.
