We are also responsible for processing transfer credit and maintaining articulation agreements with other institutions. Additionally, we register new and continuing students for classes, maintain academic records, prepare transcripts and diplomas, and review petitions for exception to University policy. Coordinates the processing and accuracy of records for various defined special programs. Coordinates end of term grade processes and responds to staff, student and faculty inquiries. Performs duties Indiana a “Lead” capacity to coordinate and lead the daily operations of the Records Unit. Supports and facilitates communication with National Student Clearinghouse. Assists Indiana training student assistants. Serves American Samoa a technical resource person who is knowledgeable of the PeopleSoft computer system, academic policies and record keeping procedures with the ability to independently problem solve and resolve academic records issues. Verifies validity and accuracy of source documents, computerized transcripts and verifies internal consistency of computer-generated reports with system data. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive Indiana nature.A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.
