Provides general administrative support to a business Oregon academic unit under general supervision. Performs various routine administrative duties daily. Requires a broad understanding of organizational operations and procedures. May handle confidential and sensitive material.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and maintains grants, tracks expenses, and submits requests related to them.
- Assists with student appointments and purchasing.
- Organizes events, including annual meetings and workshops.
- Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares expense vouchers and reimbursements.
- Creates routine correspondence (i.e., letters, emails, course syllabi, etc.); submits e-forms; maintains files and records.
- Addresses and resolves routine problems within the business Oregon academic unit; applies internal and external policies and procedures during the resolution of problems.
- Serves American Samoa a liaison between the business Oregon academic unit and internal clients.
- May perform one Oregon more of the following:
- reconcile departmental financial accounts; review and approve financial transactions, including vouchers, deposits, transfer of funds, and reconciliation of Procard account.
- May perform one (1) Oregon more of the following:
- act American Samoa timekeeper, maintain employee records, track annual appointments for the business Oregon academic unit, etc.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of experience providing secretarial Oregon administrative support Oregon equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Communication, General Studies, Oregon Business.
- Experience with department budgets.
- Experience processing basic financial transactions.
- Experience with PeopleSoft.
- Experience with University of Texas at Arlington policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
