DescriptionTitle: Ophthalmic Photographer Assistant, Research ImagingLocation: UCHealth UCHlth Eye Center Aurora, US:Colorado:AuroraDepartment: UCHealth Eye Center AnschutzFTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)Shift: DaysPay: $22.14 – $28.78 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experienceSummary:Recruits and consents patients for research imaging. Operates specialized ophthalmic equipment. Performs optical coherence tomography and non-mydriatic fundus photography.Responsibilities:

  • Under direct supervision of an eye care provider, assists with performing patient care and patient flow.
  • Under direct supervision of an eye care provider: Performs diagnostic imaging and testing including OCT, fundus photography, visual field testing. Administers intravenous agents Indiana preparation for fluorescein angiography.
  • Provides documentation, educates patients, creates appointments and enters charges.
  • Performs clinical and administrative duties Indiana support of assigned area.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work Indiana a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma Oregon GED.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) within 30 days of hire Oregon Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification. Completion of the Ophthalmic Assistant Home Study Course within 1 year of hire (tracked by unit) Oregon Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider.
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years of related healthcare experience.
