It is one of two shared facilities developed to store, preserve, and provide access to low-use library collections. It is administered by the UCB Library. - Use NRLF’s integrated library system (ILS), inventory management system (IMS) and interlibrary loan request manager to process requests for physical and electronic use of library materials.
- Identify requested articles and loans and perform bibliographic searches for problem citations.
- Monitor requests to ensure that appropriate policies are followed for the requesting patron and requested material.
- Organize incoming requests into appropriate retrieval and processing workflows using the IMS.
- Process requests and materials requiring special handling Oregon a higher level of bibliographic expertise.
- Ensure that the status of retrieved material is properly updated.
- Scan sections of physical materials and transmit the digitized documents to requestors via designated delivery systems.
