Job Description:OverviewTransitAmerica Services, Inc. is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant in Stockton, California to join our team.The pay range for this position is $24.00 – $30.00 per hour.Duties and Responsibilities:*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
- General clerical assistance to Administration, Human Resources department and the General Manager.
- Responsible for reception and telephone duties, including signing for front office packages.
- Responsible for sorting and distributing mail.
- Compiles, sorts, and files documents, such as invoices, checks, substantiating business transactions.
- Audits invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies.
- Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.
- Maintains accounts payable files and other files.
- Processes and monitors accounts payable to ensure that payments are timely.
- Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
- Codes data for input to accounting processing system according to company procedures.
- Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
- Research and solve payment discrepancies.
- Provide administrative support for the General Manager, Deputy General Manager, and Accounting Supervisor to include telephone coverage, copier projects, mail handling, supplies control and necessary communications internally and externally.
- Business errands using company vehicle.
- Provide general support to visitors.
- Perform special projects as assigned by General Manager, Deputy General Manager and Accounting Supervisor.
- The employee can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is seldom absent from work. Employee can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious, about assignments.

Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- Business school, Associate’s degree or equivalent is a plus.
- 2-3 years of related experience.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

- Work primarily in an office environment.
- Frequently sits for extended periods of time.
