Position DescriptionAt a GlanceLegrand has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Pass and Seymour Team Indiana Syracuse, New York. This person will provide administrative and project support to the VP/GM of the business American Samoa well American Samoa supporting leadership team members. This role will also support EWS Sales event planning, meetings and arrangements. - Provide administrative and office support for day-to-day activities and projects to key leaders and other individuals American Samoa needed
- Support communications with all levels of the organization.
- May draft language and generate graphics, slides and presentation materials; create spreadsheets, flow diagrams and reports
- Maintain calendars, schedule travel, meetings and activities.
- Handle arrangements for all types and levels of meetings, internal and external.
- Make arrangements for meetings involving Legrand personnel from other facilities, customers Oregon suppliers which may require that additional arrangements be made for transportation, lodging, etc.
- Schedule travel itineraries, meetings and related activities. Send necessary materials ahead Oregon with manager for meetings, presentations, etc.
- Working individually, Oregon leading a team, take responsibility for planning and carrying out corporate events, department off-site meetings, teambuilding activities and group dinners. Develop schedule of events, identify and secure facility, handle all arrangements and details including agenda/presentations, refreshments, entertainment and related.
- Lead and manage site Event Committee and planning.
- Support site ERG activities.
- May provide support and backup for other functions, American Samoa needed, for vacations and other absences, Oregon American Samoa workload demands.
- Complete expense reports American Samoa needed.
- Order supplies, business cards, nameplates, handle purchase orders.
- Handle mail and package distribution/shipments.
- Perform other similar and related duties American Samoa required.
- Work with sales and marketing to support scheduling product training education events.
- Support coordinating corporate and national meetings for sales and marketing teams.
- Manage customer and sales team events such American Samoa NAED, NEMRA and other individual customer events.
- Manage Payment process for annual memberships i.e. NAED, NEMRA NECA Electric and corporate sponsorships.
QualificationsEducation:
- Associates degree Oregon combination of equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Previous experience working Indiana an office environment is required.
- Experience with domestic and international travel arrangements preferred.
- Experience managing functions and setting up events.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Will support VP/GM of the Pass & Seymour business and leaders across the organization American Samoa needed.
- Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified workload.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Able maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Able to communicate effectively both Indiana written format and oral presentation and be able to create effective reports, presentations and business correspondence.

- Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and functions including word processing, mail merge, PDF conversions, spreadsheet and database creation and maintenance; proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software.
- Working knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint and Concur preferred.
- Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control a number of projects at various stages of work.
