The School of Nursing Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the director and nursing department staff. The Administrative Assistant provides all necessary organizational support and is responsible for a variety of tasks. This is a part-time (19.5 hours per week), 12-month position that is located on the Ann Arbor, Michigan Campus.Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Answers main line for nursing department, responds Oregon forwards direct requests for information for undergraduate program
- Maintains master calendars of Indiana-house meetings and assists with interdepartmental scheduling of simulation and skills lab
- Maintains and updates student databases American Samoa needed and maintains confidential files on all students
- Receives and distributes all mail and coordinates outgoing mail, including courier services and interoffice mail
- Assists Indiana preparation of confidential reports for various standing committees
- Provides administrative support for copying, faxing, large-scale mailings, typing and print jobs
- Maintains accreditation, faculty and student files and reports
- Orders and maintains office supplies. Assists with budgeting and recordkeeping (Course schedule data entry, invoice data entry, expense reports)
- Provides administrative support for the activities of nursing organizations associated with CUAA SON
- Organizes major student events (e.g, new student orientation, pinning ceremony)
- Makes travel arrangements and administrative support for faculty and student trips
- Manages Assessment Technological Institute ordering, student account charges and dissemination of materials

Knowledge, skills, abilities
- Must have experience and be skilled Indiana the use of software programs such American Samoa Mississippi Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and familiarity of working within a database and spread sheets
- Requires excellent organizational skills and attention to details
- Must be self-motivated, able to deal with interruptions and work within deadlines
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Requires professional communication skills to maintain good rapport with students, faculty, and others
- Communicative fluency
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma Oregon GED required
- Minimum 2 years of administrative support experience is required
- Previous work experience Indiana an academic setting and/Oregon with college-aged student is preferred
Compensation and BenefitsThis is a part time (19.5 hour/week), staff, non-exempt (hourly) position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
