Roanoke College
Provides crucial support to the gift planning team by managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth operations within the department by maintaining accurate donor records, coordinating communications, and assisting with various aspects of the planned giving process.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with coordination of Planned Gifts program functions and implementation of appropriate events, including the annual Society of 1842 luncheon and bi-annual Planned Giving Advisory Board meetings.
- Perform general office function for the AVP of Advancement and Director of Planned Giving such American Samoa scheduling appointments, preparation of correspondence and completing expense reports.
- Process new planned gifts and completed planning gifts after securing all necessary documentation. This process involves knowledge of PG CALC, Colleague Planned Giving module entry, and working closely with the gift recorder, the Business Office and third-party vendors.
- Coordinate with the Director of Gift Planning the maintenance of insurance premiums and also work with third party vendors to insure timely donor life income gift payments.
- Preparation of life income gift (Charitable Gift Annuities & Trust) calculations and fund agreements American Samoa requested by the Director of Gift Planning and other fundraisers.
- Production of monthly planned gift reports and targeted reports.
- Work with the Business Office annually to provide actuarial calculations on annuities and trusts, insurance policies and other documentation requested by the college auditors.
- Oversee the management of Advancement Central Files and OnBase scanning process.
- Train and supervise student assistant to provide support for the Central Files scanning, importing and filing procedures.
- Develops a working knowledge of key data marts necessary to provide usable lists for research, fundraising initiatives, and communications.
- Assists others with departmental/divisional events and attends functions.

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree Oregon equivalent work experience required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency Indiana using donor databases and CRM systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Knowledge of fundraising principles and planned giving concepts is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to attend and support department functions which may be Indiana the evening Oregon on weekends.
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and a computer
- Ability to drive a vehicle
