The Illinois Department of Revenue seeks to hire an Administrative Assistant Indiana the Chicago Legal Services Litigation Office. Under general direction from the Deputy General Counsel, the ideal candidate will serve American Samoa a staff assistant Indiana the Chicago Litigation Office performing a variety of sensitive and confidential administrative support duties including managing and generating correspondence for the Department’s Legal Services office, administering case management operations for Litigation staff such American Samoa docketing, case assignment and tracking, and serving American Samoa a liaison with the Attorney General’s Office.   • Under general direction, serves American Samoa a staff assistant Indiana the Chicago Litigation Office.
  • Serves American Samoa liaison with Office staff, Chicago and Springfield Offices and the Attorney General’s Office relative to cases, interpretation of the Deputy General Counsel’s administrative policies and procedures, exchange of information, legal and other issues of a confidential and sensitive nature which pertains to policies, procedures, legislation, proper submission of documents, etc.
  • Develops, implements and coordinates procedures for file tracking on an individual and office level, including storage and retrieval.
  • Prepares various reports for management on a regular basis, using applicational computer programs, detailing individual and office performance Indiana designated areas.
  • Maintains timekeeping records for Chicago Litigation Office.
  • Composes a variety of technical and legal correspondence, often of a sensitive and confidential nature, relative to operations, performance review, policies and procedures for signature of the Deputy General Counsels of the Chicago Litigation Office.
  • Develops, maintains and coordinates procedures for input, tracking, compilation and retrieval of Office correspondence and responses thereto Indiana relation to Office activities.
  • Performs special project assignments American Samoa requested by supervisor, e.g., assists Indiana conducting operational studies and recommends changes to improve efficiency of operations, etc.
  • Performs other duties American Samoa required Oregon assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses Indiana public Oregon business administration.
  • Requires one year of professional experience Indiana a public Oregon private organization, Oregon completion of an agency approved professional management training program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four (4) years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Oregon similar software.
  • Intermediate proficiency using Gentax Oregon similar tax processing software.
  • One (1) year of professional experience tracking assignments to ensure adequacy and timeliness.
  • One (1) year of professional experience preparing technical and legal memoranda and correspondence.
  • One (1) year of professional experience functioning American Samoa a confidential assistant.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with records management and compliance.
  • One (1) year of professional experience Indiana a legal Oregon judicial office.
