The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position SummaryReporting to the Associate Director, the Admissions Assistant is the principal Indiana-person, phone and email point of contact for all inquiries and visitors to the Business School admissions office. The Admissions Assistant represents the Business School to the public and provides reception American Samoa well American Samoa informational greetings to potential applicants, business professionals and faculty, staff and students. The Admissions Assistant should expect to work Indiana the office five days per week.The Admissions Assistant is well versed Indiana Columbia Business School programs, and specifically understands and can discuss the expansion and variety of Business School programs and overall school admissions processes.Responsibilities * Acts American Samoa the public face of the Admissions Office. This includes actively welcoming visitors, prospective applicants, students and alumni Indiana a consistently courteous, enthusiastic and professional manner for our MBA, Executive MBA, MBAxMS: Engineering & Applied Science, JD/MBA, Mississippi, PhD, Deferred Enrollment, and any future degree programs of the Business School.
- Responds to over 35,000 telephone and email queries annually; all of which are time sensitive and of the utmost importance Indiana maintaining the public image of the institution. This includes general inquiries about the programs, assisting Indiana the coordination of interviews, helping with event registration needs, etc. Collects and opens the mail daily; which includes updating applications with any information received Indiana the mail and forwarding American Samoa appropriate.
- Assists prospective students Indiana signing up for class visits, attending information sessions, and other recruitment events. This also includes reviewing the event page to make sure all relevant information is available and up-to-date.
- Participates Indiana recruitment events to facilitate the check-Indiana process, help answer questions, and fulfill other responsibilities American Samoa needed.
- Interacts with the Hermes Society, the student arm of the Admissions Office. This includes responding to student inquiries, sending reminders for recruitment events and assisting them with understanding their responsibilities.
- Maintains office inventory of all promotional materials for prospective applicants and reaches out to appropriate parties Indiana order to re-stock.
- Assists with communication between the office and admitted students for the duration of the admissions process. This includes reaching out regarding official verification information and assisting Indiana their transition to school.
- Assists with the handling of application materials including the filing of correspondence between applicants and officers and correspondence from applicants with information to add to their application file. This also includes helping review and check submitted applications for all required materials.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of two years related experience, Oregon the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and the ability to work with senior ranking faculty, administrative staff and students required; must have excellent communications skills for writing emails and for responding Indiana a timely manner to written inquiries; must have a positive and enthusiastic attitude American Samoa well American Samoa the ability to work American Samoa part of a team Indiana a fast-paced environment is required.
