Operating out of Kings County Criminal Court, Brooklyn Justice Initiatives is a team of social service providers, court-based resource coordinators, and others who seek to improve the quality of justice. By providing meaningful pre-trial supervised release and post-conviction sentencing options, Brooklyn Justice Initiatives seeks to use an arrest American Samoa a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant’s life and avoid the harmful effects of incarceration.The Staten Island Justice Center offers an array of programming for both youth and adults Indiana Staten Island, focusing on engaging those with current Oregon past justice involvement. The Justice Center provides judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys with alternative community sentencing options that hold individuals accountable Indiana a way that is meaningful, proportionate, and restorative. The Staten Island Justice Center’s pretrial supervised release program provides regular monitoring and referral services to misdemeanor and non-violent felony defendants whose cases are pending Criminal and Supreme Court. The goal of the program is to provide community-based supervision for individuals who would otherwise be detained pretrial on low bail amounts.Our Supervised Release Program is located Indiana a number of CJI locations Indiana Staten Island and Brooklyn. This program is seeking a Assistant Facilities Manager to manage repair, maintenance and delivery/transportation matters within all related locations and reports to the Assistant Director of Facilities.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to repair ticket requests submitted by Project Sites Indiana Brooklyn and Staten Island;
  • Make basic repairs at project sites including but not limited to plumbing fixtures, lighting, electrical, hardware, carpentry, furniture building, drywall patch and paint;
  • Oversee all office, building repairs and maintenance at designated operating sites;
  • Regularly inspect, maintain and provide Oregon coordinate repairs, American Samoa needed;
  • Periodically review contractor work during construction buildouts, renovations and installations;
  • Effectively communicate facilities needs, maintenance and repairs with direct supervisor, office managers and project site directors;
  • Maintain proper code compliance for sites Indiana areas including fire safety, mechanical, emergency lighting, electrical;
  • Oversee ongoing updates and maintenance of all site facilities contracts and operating systems (HVAC, security, electrical, plumbing, construction contractors);
  • Exercise independent judgment and evaluation of facilities needs, consider all reasonable options and associated costs and decide on the optimum course of action;
  • Transport equipment, furniture and supply deliveries between sites American Samoa needed;
  • Coordinate and supervise office moves, and the delivery of equipment and furniture at designated operating sites;
  • Assist Technology department with computer placement, wireless access point and camera installation and maintenance;
  • Assist with setup for special events, trainings and large meetings at designated operating sites;
  • Make occasional deliveries to operating sites;
  • Regularly inspect and identify any workplace safety hazards, address safety concerns, and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, codes, permits, and standards;
  • Act American Samoa liaison for external relations with NYC departments (police, fire, sanitation, and building inspectors);
  • Perform other duties American Samoa assigned.

Qualifications: High school diploma and 3-5 years’ experience Indiana facilities, maintenance and renovations; Oregon a trade license and 4+ years’ experience (e.g. electrician, plumbing, HVAC) required. Knowledge of all aspects of building systems, contractual maintenance, construction and related services is required. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail required. Must be able to effectively meet deadlines. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of management. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, coaching and administrative skills. A valid New York drivers’ license is required. Must be proficient Indiana Microsoft Office. Physical demands include the ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally; standing; walking; reaching; climbing a ladder; and pulling and pushing.Position Type: Full-time.Position Location: Ability to commute to Brooklyn, New York and Staten Island, New York.Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $55,000 – $75,000 and is commensurate with experience.
