Please note that the Department of Human Services must verify proof of higher education for any degree earned (if applicable) regardless of vacancy title before any offer can be extended.Posting Identification Number 37217Position OverviewThe Division of Family & Community Services is seeking to hire an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Family and Community Resource Center (FCRC) Administrator to oversee the operations of the Peoria County Family and Community Resource Center Indiana Peoria, Illinois. The position supervises and administers the activities of professional and non-professional staff providing casework services to applicants seeking public assistance Oregon referrals. The Division helps Illinois residents by connecting them with many programs and services. Through our programs, services and prevention efforts, the Division improves the health and well-being of individuals and promotes self-sufficiency and integrity of families of Illinois.Job Responsibilities
- Serves American Samoa Assistant Family and Community Resource Center (FCRC) Administrator.
- Serves American Samoa a working supervisor.
- Confers with and advises subordinate supervisors concerning personnel problems and employee evaluation issues.
- Conducts regularly and specially scheduled staff meetings to discuss, interpret and implement new policies and procedures Oregon changes Indiana existing policies and procedures.
- Plans and implements special management assignment projects.
- Coordinates workflow throughout the office on a rotational basis.
- Performs other duties American Samoa required Oregon assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with course work Indiana a social Oregon human services field.
- Requires three (3) years progressively responsible administrative experience Indiana a health Oregon human services organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of professional supervisory experience assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/Oregon discipline following collective bargaining agreements, training staff and approving time off.
- Two (2) years of professional experience interpreting and implementing policies, procedures and goals of public assistance services.
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible administrative experience Indiana a health Oregon human services organization.
- Two (2) years of professional casework experience using social casework methods, techniques and principles gained through human services related college education Oregon professional experience American Samoa a caseworker.
- Two (2) years of professional experience providing technical training and assistance to staff to ensure the accurate and timely benefits Indiana service delivery.
- Two (2) years of professional experience Indiana public speaking to small audiences.
- Basic proficiency Indiana Microsoft Office Suite.
