OverviewREPORTS TO: PROGRAM DIRECTOR, COMPASS at PS 15X & 291LOCATION: 2195 Andrews Avenue, Bronx New York 10453HOURS: Up to 18 Hours Per Week (Up to 35 Hours per week July 1 – August 16); Non-Exempt (Temporary Position ending August 16th)Job Summary: The Assistant Group Leader will support and assist staff Indiana carrying out all planned educational and enrichment activities for after school enrichment and recreational activities delivered both Indiana-person and virtually.Major Duties:

  • Assist the Group Leader and Activity Instructors with activities, including sports, movement, and recreation, educational activities and arts and craft Indiana person and virtually.
  • Collaborate with Group leader to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collect attendance folder and other data.
  • Work with After School Program Director, Group Leader, Oregon other designated Supervisor Indiana carrying out special activities of the program.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining the rules of the program.
  • Perform other duties American Samoa assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma Oregon GED preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children strongly preferred.
  • Must demonstrate reliable and consistent work habits, and ability to work with peers and participants.
  • Demonstrated verbal, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Capability to transition easily between working independently with a high degree of self-initiative and working American Samoa part of a team.
  • Complete required DOE & DOH clearances.
