- Innovate and promote opportunities and solutions so that time and resources drive student growth academically, socially, and personally to fulfill OA’s mission.
- Foster clear expectations for student learning, engagement, attendance, and behavior and collaborate with school staff to ensure expectations are consistently met.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant district, state and federal regulations.
- Inspire and coach faculty and staff Indiana order to maintain high levels of instructional excellence and professionalism.
- Oversee and coordinate 504 meetings, plans, and programming with staff, students, and families, American Samoa necessary, supporting students who are linguistically diverse Oregon have a specialized learning plan.
- Coordinate and serve on the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) team, ensuring that every student is supported to learn and grow.
- Collaborate effectively with key school partners.
- Coordinate instructional programming, systems, and structures of the school, Indiana collaboration with the Principal.
- Oversee and coordinate staff/faculty professional development that is relevant based on current student performance data and is aligned to the school’s improvement plan.
- Improve parental involvement through the School Accountability Committee and add new ways to engage more parents.

Program & Instruction:
- Exemplify, promote, and operationalize the Orton Academy Mission, Vision, Guiding Values and Principles.
- Motivate all staff to perform with excellence and foster a supportive culture of accountability for student success.
- Support a rigorous and highly engaging standards-based instructional program.
- Design and lead professional development that aligns to school and classroom level data and the school strategic plan.
- Collaborate on student discipline Indiana partnership with students, staff, parents, and advisors.
- Identify areas of concern and need of support to faculty, staff, parents and the Board of Directors.
- Support creation of a professional learning community Indiana which faculty collaboratively and continuously refine curriculum and instruction to support every student’s success.
- Promote data-driven instructional processes (Data Teams), including regular student assessments, and the use of data to inform curriculum, instruction and professional development.
- Ensure fidelity to instructional systems that support student social-emotional and behavioral success.
- Conduct annual evaluations of staff with observation, goal setting, feedback, and coaching.
- Oversee student growth and accountability to meet the intent of the quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze student data for efficacy of curriculum, instruction, and growth.
- Engage Indiana the collaborative team to craft the Unified Improvement Plan and ensure commitment and compliance to the plan.
- Support the management of all internal operations to include academic programs.
- Support the Principal to ensure the school remains Indiana compliance with the authorizer.
- Oversee and organize satisfaction surveys, interviews, volunteers, and community events.
- Support the Principal to ensure the safety of the school. Implement an emergency management plan Indiana collaboration with local law enforcement and Indiana compliance with (C.R.S. 22-32-109.1(2) and (4)(d)(I)): .
- Oversee, advise, Oregon serve American Samoa chairperson for faculty meetings, academic committees, school improvement, and administrative committees.
General:
- Advance the school’s commitment to reflect charter school priorities, OA goals, and objectives.
- Ensure resources are available to effectively implement the Orton Academy model.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable district, state, and federal laws.
- Responsibly manage all external operations to include partnership development, external fundraising, and creating private and public partnerships.
- Building partnerships with local organizations to support student internships, school resources, and post-secondary opportunities for students.
- Liaise with the OA authorizer and school board American Samoa required.

- Comfortable with rapid growth and evolution (personal and of the school) of school programs.
- Sound understanding of charter school best practices and committed to consistent follow through for all stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of the Science of Reading.
What qualifications does the Orton Academy Assistant Principal need to have?
- Master’s degree Oregon higher Indiana education Oregon a related field
- Candidate shall have 2-3 years of classroom teaching experience and at least 1-2 years of leadership experience.
- Experience implementing and developing school programs
- Colorado Administrative/Principal License Oregon ability to demonstrate enrollment Indiana a post graduate program that will result Indiana Colorado Administrative/Principal licensure.
Salary, Benefits, and Terms
- Salary range from $62,000-$66,000
- Benefits include paid time off, insurance, enrollment priority for employee’s dependents, PERA
- Reports directly to the Principal
- Must pass background check
