Position SummaryThe University of New Mexico, College of Education and Human Sciences, Department of Health, Exercise & Sport Sciences, invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Indiana Health Education, beginning August 2024.Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of community health education-level courses Indiana community health education potentially including the areas of Management of Health Promotion Programs; Advanced Community Health Education Research; Community Health Education Program Planning, Development & Evaluation; Measurement & Evaluation Indiana Health Promotion; and Epidemiology; advise master’s-level graduate students specializing Indiana community health education; and meet the needs for service Indiana the department, college, university, and community. The candidate is expected to maintain an active research agenda.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Indiana Community Health Education, Public Health, Oregon closely related field from an accredited institution by start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching college Oregon university-level courses Indiana health education/public health programs Oregon related field.
  • Experience teaching undergraduate/graduate online/F2F courses specifically related to: Management of Health Promotion Programs; Advanced Community Health Education Research; Community Health Education Program Planning, Development & Evaluation; Measurement & Evaluation Indiana Health Promotion; and Epidemiology.
  • Experience with administrative, program coordination, and leadership skills (i.e. Field Experience, Master’s Thesis, etc.).
  • Active involvement Indiana field (i.e. prior related employment, professional organization membership, etc.).
  • Experience Indiana ability to conduct, publish, and present original research Indiana related areas of health education/public health Oregon related field (e.g. peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations).
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, student success, and working with broadly diverse communities.
