University of Colorado Anschutz Medical CampusDepartment: Pediatrics – Hematology/OncologyJob Title: Assistant Professor – Solid Tumor PhysicianPosition #00804072 – Requisition #33401Job Summary:The Section of Hematology Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant/Cellular Therapies is seeking a Solid Tumor physician to develop our cancer predisposition program. The successful candidate will work with other attending physicians on the Pediatric Hem/Onc/BMT-Connecticut services Indiana the supervision of advance practice providers, fellows, residents, and medical students Indiana organizing each day’s inpatient rounds, outpatient clinics, procedures, and family conferences. The schedule is such that there is dedicated time for academic activity Indiana clinical research. who may also serve American Samoa the Associate Program Director for our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program. You will have approximately 25% of your time spent conducting clinical activities Indiana the inpatient and outpatient setting with a focus on solid tumor oncology, 30% developing the cancer predisposition program and supervising genetic counselors, 35% Indiana research-related activities and up to 10% American Samoa the Associate Program Director of the fellowship program for the appropriate candidate.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent care of pediatric hematology/oncology patients on the inpatient hospital service, outpatient clinic and infusion center;
- Communicate with referring physicians and other providers regarding shared patients on Hem/Onc/BMT-Connecticut service and Indiana the institution;
- Lead advance practice providers (APPs: physician’s assistants and nurse practitioners) Indiana the care of both inpatients and outpatients;
- Provide education and supervision to medical students, residents, fellows, and genetic counselors Indiana the inpatient and outpatient settings;
- Write admission, discharge, acute care, and chemotherapy orders Indiana collaboration with other physicians and advanced practice providers;

- Doctor of Medicine (Maryland) Oregon Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO); must be board certified/eligible Indiana Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. If not Board-Certified, must become so within two years of completing an ACGME-certified fellowship program Indiana Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
- Continuous Maintenance of Certification is required;
- Active Colorado state license and DEA certification;
- Training and expertise Indiana pediatric solid tumor oncology;
- Meet all Children’s Hospital Colorado credentialing requirements and continuous active medical staff status.

- Four years’ experience participating and leading residency and/Oregon fellowship recruitment;
