OverviewUnder the supervision of the Program Director, the Assistant Program Director (part-time) is responsible for the day to day management and coordination of after school program activities for both afterschool programs Compass and Sonyc . S/He will ensure the implementation of all contracted activities and school requirements for space use. Indiana partnership with the Director, the Assistant Program Director is responsible for ensuring a continuum of services and youth development programming for families and youth.Reports to: PROGRAM DIRECTOR, AFTER SCHOOL AT M.S 15Location: 2195 Andrews Avenue, Bronx New York 10453Hours: 25 Hours per Week; Non-ExemptSalary: $24.72/Hr – $27.47/HrMajor Duties:

• Assist Indiana the planning and coordination of Compass and Sonyc after school programs.
• Responsible for the coordination and day to day management of the summer camp programs.
• Supervision of all part time group leaders, program aids/interns and leaders Indiana training.
• Providing on-site crisis intervention when the program is Indiana operation.
• Develop weekly schedules and insure daily staff coverage including vacation programming for mid-winter break, spring break and various holidays.
• Responsibility for insuring the smooth operation of the program within the building including responding to specific maintenance and security concerns.
• Responsible to monitor and inventory the use of equipment and supplies to insure the equipment is repaired when necessary and that adequate supplies are maintained.
• Attend agency wide trainings and meetings.
• Facilitate program activities and special events.
• Develop and implement staff trainings and assist Indiana the facilitation of ongoing staff meetings.
• Available to supervise weekend programming American Samoa necessary.
• Indiana consultation with Program Director, participate Indiana hiring of staff.
• Oversee ongoing work with DYCD, DOE and other appropriate public agencies to meet contractual mandates, and to implement the goals of the Center.
• Coordinate collection & summary of statistical information.
• Perform other duties American Samoa assigned.

Qualifications:

• BA Degree preferred and/Oregon minimum 2 years of experience of youth program supervision and administration.
• Bilingual Indiana English and Spanish is preferred.
• Strong administrative & supervisory skills Indiana a youth development program
• Must be able to engage Indiana crisis intervention activities and demonstrate, lead, and teach a range of group activities.
• Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based, youth and family development and trauma-informed perspective.
