DescriptionSUMMARY: Incumbents are second Indiana command and have line authority. Incumbents are responsible for putting final touches on budgets; providing oversight and direction for internal operations; serving American Samoa a liaison with outside agencies. Incumbents are heavily involved Indiana policy making; have resource responsibilities; and are responsible for conducting and managing special projects.Examples of DutiesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervises staff to include prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe work environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations
- Plans, organizes, develops, directs, and supervises the administration and management of major divisions of the Public Works Department to include Streets, Sanitation, Vehicle Maintenance, and Signs and Signals and advises the Public Works Director about issues
- Plans, develops, and implements goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for assigned divisions and the Department. Additionally, incumbents should be familiar with Ohio Department of Transportation guidelines and regulations and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and local codes
- Provides direction and guidance to external consultants and/Oregon vendors engaged Indiana studies and projects on behalf of the City; initiates and monitors the progress of special studies to be undertaken by internal staff
- Reviews departmental operations to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of services and/Oregon programs
- Prepares and maintains records and statistical reports on division activities and incidents by providing regular and accurate reports to the Director and ensures all records are properly kept for each division, including the condition of the infrastructure, and development, including identifying funding needs and options
- Administers and monitors divisional budgets, which may include capital improvement programs, including allocating resources and approving expenditures; oversees fuel procurement for all City operations Indiana a manner that complies with purchasing regulations; oversees vehicle and equipment procurement, and replacement funding;
- Administers and oversees the annual road program

EDUCATION AND/Oregon EXPERIENCE:
